ABOUT CLUBHAÜS

Clubhaüs Developments was born from lived experience and a deep belief that housing should never be a barrier to dignity or independence. After a life-changing our founder saw firsthand how limited accessible housing options truly were, and set out to change that reality for others.

Today, we design and build homes that are inclusive, practical, and inspiring. From roll-in showers and wider doorways to ramps and heated sidewalks, every detail is crafted with accessibility in mind.

We’re not just building homes at Clubhaüs. We’re building opportunity, belonging, and a future where accessible living is the standard, not the exception.

LANDON SMITH

Landon Smith is the founder of Clubhaüs Developments, a company dedicated to creating safe, accessible, and inclusive housing for people of all abilities. After experiencing a life-changing spinal cord injury, Landon recognized the urgent need for homes that support independence and dignity for individuals with mobility challenges.

Fresh out of high school, 18-year-old founder Landon Smith sustained a life-changing spinal cord injury that forever altered the trajectory of his life. After enrolling in wildland firefighting in pursuit of his lifelong dream of becoming a city firefighter, Landon faced an injury that would ultimately lay that dream to rest. Following his hospital stay, Landon was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital called the Glenrose in Edmonton, where he spent nearly five months gradually reintegrating into the community.

During his time at the Glenrose, Landon soon realized just how many people in similar situations were affected by the lack of accessible housing options in the community. This problem not only delayed individuals’ discharge dates but also hindered their progress toward true independence. That’s when the idea of Clubhaüs Developments was born.

A company focused on thoughtful design, community impact, and accessibility-first solutions, Landon leads Clubhaüs in developing properties that are innovative, practical, and empowering. Beyond architecture and his desire to help people, much like a firefighter would, he is passionate about breaking barriers, fostering equity in housing, and building a future where accessibility is the standard.
